I like the writing and dialogue but want more detail. I feel like I read only half the story. So many questions unanswered. I wanted to get to know these couples but it just fell a bit short.Book one: Her wolf keeps saying " Not not wolf". How and why does he become a wolf because of the mating frenzy? Just when you think the answers are coming from her Alpha and his grandfather the Alpha tells them to go do a run, end of story.
Book two: What does sure find out that sends her running back home. Where was the mating connection? If they are true mates you would think parting would have been harder. What does he diagnose in the child that sends it to the hospital. He had to stay for his patients but I didn't feel the connection to them.
Book three: What happened to have his position as pack Guardian revoked. What part did Luke play in it. If Luke's sub-pack is part of the main one he already belongs to why such a big deal in becoming a Guardian for Luke.
As these are all short stories that all happened around Christmas time, i would like to try a full story by this author to see if they would be better.

Interesting and entertaining short stories about some of the Black Mesa Wolves mates. Liked that each story presents different issues that caused important changes in the protagonists. Read them individually and now they are in a bundle for the enjoyment of the readers.
Christmas Wolf
Mason didn’t understand why Ana rejected him but now he would fight for her. Ana was too afraid that her lover would be hurt. He was human and forbidden for her. Interesting, entertaining and lovely story with strong emotions, suspense and passionate scenes. Liked Ana's defense of her mate and the intriguing mystery around the Mason, the human.
Solstice Wolf
Lia and Connor’s marriage was teetering. Both have their dreams and they were affecting they relationship. Lia was a lawyer and had ambitions while Connor was attached to his clinic and the less fortunate humans he treated there. Was their mate bond strength enough to overcome their problems? A story where love was present all the time. Interesting, with good emotions and a lovely HEA.
New Year Wolf
Caleb Bardou had a second chance to get back his Pack Guardian status. His mistakes had cost him too much. He didn’t trust and much less his enemy. Could he make the right decision? Different, interesting story with a positive message. Sure, there must be a story for the enemy. Hope so because there was some mystery for that character. Read in Shifter in the Snow
Absolutely Wonderful. Julie has done another awesome job with her book “Christmas Wolf.” The story-line and plot are so well written. The characters are perfectly developed.
I loved the opening of chapter one very much. Such vivid descriptions of the night before Christmas. Snowflakes falling, vibrant, colorful twinkling lights, hot drinks and cooking to all who go by. This vision is stuck in my minds eye and I am there strolling down the sidewalks with Ana and enjoying Christmas time.
Ana and Mason had run into each other while in town and were together for a year. Ana left Mason a few months ago, not able to explain to him why. Mason won't let Ana go, even though Ana knows there is no way they can ever be together.
During this time of the year secrets are a constant. And then there are secrets that one would never, every imagine in and would never be told no matter what time of the year it is.
It's so interesting to watch the story-line build and the plot thicken. The characters are having a growth spurt of maturity and complexity. It really brings the ending to an awesome and unexpected conclusion.
Be sure and pick up a copy of “Christmas Wolf” you won't regret it

This the 4.5 book in the Black Mesa Wolves Series. I liked this book. I liked the story line and the characters. I enjoyed the chemistry between Mason and Ana. I enjoyed how Ana kept trying to be a good wolf and trying to keep Mason alive by staying away from him. I liked how Mason wouldn’t take no for an answer about getting back together with Ana. I loved how Mason kept getting more and more growly and exhibiting Alpha tendencies as the story moves along. I was not expecting the ending and I really liked it.
